2012 Caymus Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley 40th Anniversary $54.99
The 40th anniversary bottling of Caymus Cabernet is everything a devoted fan could ask for! Every bit the palate pleaser that we've come to expect from this legendary Napa house. Black cherries, sweet plums, chocolate-covered berries and lavish oak compete for your attention in the flavor profile, and the texture is pure silk. These guys just never miss! "This wine exemplifies our style of Cabernet out of a great vintage - deep color, rich, concentrated and balanced. 2012 celebrates 40 years of producing our pride and joy, Caymus Vineyards Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon" - Chuck Wagner, Owner/Winemaker

2012 L'Aventure Winery Optimus $44.99 (Wine Advocate 93-95+ points)
Moving onto the 2012 Barrels, which across the board are superb, the 2012 Optimus should certainly match or exceed the incredible 2011. Full-bodied, seamless and downright sexy, with classy berry fruit, licorice, violets and spring flowers, it should be approachable on release and have a decade of longevity. Drink 2014-2022.

2012 Ridge Geyserville Sonoma County Zinfandel $32.99 (Antonio Galloni 92-94 points)
The 2012 Zinfandel Geyserville is quite exuberant in this vintage. Savory herbs, tobacco, smoke, menthol and dark red/blackish-toned fruit burst from the glass in an exotic, juicy Zinfandel-based field blend loaded with personality. The tannins could use another year to soften, but readers will have a hard time keeping their hands off this jewel of a wine. The brisk, energetic finish is incredibly appealing. The blend is 71% Zinfandel, 19% Carignane, 7% Petite Sirah, 1% Alicante Bouschet and 1% Mataro (Mourvèdre).

2012 Tintonegro Malbec $11.99 (Wine Advocate 91 points)
The 2012 Malbec Uco Valley is a 4,000-case cuvee aged nine months in French oak, of which 10% was new. A beautiful, full-bodied, seriously endowed Malbec, it possesses a dense purple color along with a sweet bouquet of blueberry and black raspberry fruit interwoven with camphor, licorice and spring flowers as well as a touch of oak. This wonderfully endowed, full-bodied, classic Argentina Malbec should drink nicely for 5-6 years.
